Shortcut Your Path
My mission is to help overweight type 2 diabetics and those diagnosed with pre-diabetes, or insulin
resistance resolve their metabolic & energy imbalances, and lose weight, by empowering them through education, a clear path of action, and helping them succeed with weight loss goals so they can thrive physically, mentally & emotionally, have a deeper connection to “self” and look and feel their best.
I have been where you are. I have not completed my journey, but I have learned a lot in the process and
I want to share it with you.
Unfortunately, I knew very little about a healthy lifestyle when I first began. Prior to coaching, I was a Nurse that worked in several location including the hospital, skilled nursing facilities and the community. This meant I struggled with my own personal self-care, had low energy, suffered from imbalanced blood sugars, and fought pain in both my knees, and back from being overweight. I did not know how I was going to make it through my shift most days. Sometimes, didn’t know how I was going to get out of bed, and even get the day started. I just wanted to stay in bed and rest
I’ll be honest with you. It’s a miracle I Survived. Why?
Because, I began my health journey with the fatal belief that I could simply listen to and put into practice the “expert” advice on nutrition, exercise and managing my blood sugars. That one “diet” worked for everyone, and I just needed to try harder to be successful. I was wrong, very wrong. The harder I worked that more weight I gained, the more tired I became, the worse I felt. It was crazy!!
Thankfully, during that process I discovered that I loved Nutrition and the body’s ability to heal itself as much as I loved nursing and helping others.
It became my passion.
My goal became to uncover and simplify the confusion about nutrition and balancing blood sugars buried under the mountains of information, and now I specialize in helping diabetics apply key principles so they can shortcut their path to success.
My forever goal is to simply break complex processes into logical and doable steps, and to provide diabetics with an individualized plan and the support necessary to achieve their health and wellness goals.
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, because I’ve created the plan, I wish I’d had when I first began. As your coach, I’ll help you customize the plan to fit your strengths, your personality, and your circumstances.
You really can boost your energy, improve your health, enhance your immunity, and manage your weight and your blood sugars.
I am happily married to my husband Jason and have two daughters starting the journey to becoming adults and learning how to do life on their own.
I currently live in Pasco, WA where I own a five-acre developing farm, just outside city limits. My husband and I are newly “empty nesters” and our spending most of our time creating our “quiet” space in the country. While we miss our girls, we are proud of who they have become, and are excited about their future.
As a nurse, I enjoy helping people find joy and gratitude at every stage of life, whether it is on the road to recovery, or enjoying their last memories on earth. Drawing out peoples’ deepest desires to be healthy and empowering them to accomplish their healthy lifestyle goals is one of my greatest delights.
The ever-changing world of information, especially in the nutrition world, requires continued learning in order to properly direct others to achieve their goals. Thus, my preparation and mastery of coaching and learning new updated information is never going to be done. Since learning new things in a passion of mine, I enjoy deciphering new information to stay up to date for my clients.
As of today, here’s a condensed list of what I’ve learned:
