foods, which is WRONG advice, the absolute opposite of what you should be doing to lose weight.
Your friends, family, and other loved ones don’t understand how hard it is to be on a diet, and encouraged to eat foods that you can’t have, so you give in to peer pressure just to be apart of the family fun or the night out with your friends…..
As a diabetic you may have been told to eat every 2 hours or your blood sugars will fall too low……but its ok if they go too high because you can just TAKE MORE INSULIN……
This is not OK.
Or maybe you have heard the classic advice of if you just eat less and exercise more you will lose all the weight that you want and more……
This ALSO is not true.
We have turned to food as our source of comfort, our friend our companion, in stressful times, just to get some relive for the messages of our culture…..
These messages and more are the lies that we have been told
over many years, and now our minds and body just take them in as truths, and live by them. We have been misled to think and stay FAT.

I understand. I have been on the dieting roller coaster since I was in high school. I suffered from chronic pain, high blood pressure, cellular dehydration (What’s that??) and to top it off the doctor told me I was pre-diabetic (precursor to diabetes) and needed to lose weight. I did some research and found out that I had several symptoms of insulin resistance…..another precursor to diabetes.
Diabetes ran in my family, and I knew enough to know that I did not want it. I watched my grandmother die from complications of diabetes, and many family members suffer for no reason with diabetes. And no one stepped up to help them.
Not even the medical professionals.
I was not about to go down that same path.
Fortunately, after many failed attempts, I found the key that
completely changed my life. I have lost over 100 pounds and
have successfully been able to keep it off for 10 years, and enjoy my life in the process.
I know what it is like to be depressed, thinking that something is wrong with me because I have tried everything and nothing works. I know what it is like to life with the fear that this may be the last day of my life. I know what it is like to be left out of family event because I am in too much pain to participate, and all I can do is sit on the side and watch everyone else having fun. I get it. It is no way to live life. You were meant to live life to the fullest and
be happy to enjoy it.
